Inspired by the friendship between His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the late Thomas Merton and the subsequent, historic Gethsemani Encounter of world leaders, COMPASSION RISING has been blessed over these past 11 years by the talents and contributions of hundreds of individuals committed to peace. Piece by piece, note by note, year by year, it has been composed as if by its own conscious design. Outlining and detailing the innate connection between us all, the common thread between faiths.
