So you have a CD, DVD, Book, or Product and want to get it online . . .
Step ONE
DISCOVERY & QUOTE
In this first phase I will get an understanding of what your needs are and provide a quote of the time required to complete your project. Quotes are provided as a range of hours I estimate your project to take. *There is no charge for a quote.
Step TWO
DESIGN
Here I create preliminary designs.
Step THREE
PRODUCTION
In this phase the final ideas will be presented to you. Here we will fine tune everything including color, photos, fonts etc. Once you sign off on the final comps we move to the “mechanical” or completion phase.
Step FOUR
FINAL/MECHANICAL FILES
Final printable files are created for your printer or final files are uploaded to your FTP (for websites). This phase involves giving everything a final check to make sure all the files are in the right format and color space, all alignments are correct, and everything is to spec. etc. This is giving the whole project a basic once over before finishing. For websites this involves testing the site to make sure everything is working properly.
*At every stage of the process you are kept up to date on how much time has accrued.

How The Design Process Works and My Rates
Don’t Get Lost In The Details
There has never been a better time to be an independent creator. Distribution can be done using the internet in an ever widening degree.
You Can Publish Yourself
It’s true you can publish yourself and start selling from your own website. There’s no need to “wait” for somebody else to publish you. Check out these companies you can work with to find out more.
Policies
-Deposit
A 20% deposit is required to start your project. This is based on the minimum estimated hours to complete your project. This will be credited towards your final invoice.
A payment schedule agreement is part of the quote. Usually this is a $500 payment when ever 20
hours of time on the project has accrued. The final balance is due when final files are completed
and delivered to you, uploaded,or sent to your printer.
-Sales Tax
California State sales tax will be charged on all projects where the client receives a hard copy (DVD or CD) of the final files. Tax is applicable in this case on time related to final Mechanical file preparation and Disc costs.
